Description: Immortelle or Italian strawflower, an Asteraceae, comes from the plant Helichrysum italicum. The plant is native to the Mediterranean region and delivers helichrysum essential oil. The oil is obtained by steam distillation of the flowers of the plant. The oil has a dark, earthy herbal aroma with a slight spicy aftertaste. The plant is sometimes used as a spice because of it-curry-like flavor. Oil of immortelle can be used in combination with oil of basil, oil of sage or oil of rosemary as marinades for beef, lamb, pork, poultry, and fish or flavor enhancer for foods such as soups, salads, and vegetables.

Directions: Spray as much as desired on any food.

Ingredients: Pure immortelle oil in extra virgin olive oil.
